Caitlin is getting into this reading and spelling thing. She can sound out several words and figure out the spelling. We experimented with "rabbit" the other day and she nailed it. She also remembers the story line and a lot of the dialogue in her favorite books and can "read" them using the pictures as cues.
The other day we were getting dressed and she asked, "Who is Carters?" Carters is the brand of pajamas she was putting on. Today, she refused to wear a pink t-shirt because it said "baby" (babyGAP) and she is not a baby... Guess it is time to move on up to GapKids.
Audrey is also doing very well with her letters and her independent streak has served her very well. Here is photographic evidence of Audrey's writing ability. The pink one was done spontaneously- no prompts at all. The white one was done at church in her Sunbeam class.
