O's blessing was over New Year's weekend and boy did she have a bunch of fans- 30 people at church and at a dinner party afterwards. 17 people sleeping at our home. We sure did miss our cousin's Kaiden and Kameron who were recovering from lots of holiday travel.
With 30 people, pictures are hard. Here's one of the better ones. Jake and my "New Kids on the Block" pose was totally unintentional (atleast on my part), David's eyes are shut (father like son), Caitlin is mid tantrum, something must be going on to draw the attention of Troy, Audge, and Diane, and some people are blocked... but Olivia is sweet and precious and the Kelley Family looks amazing in this one.
It was a crazy weekend followed by a long recovery period. Here are some highlights of recovery- I found the following: 1 sock in my storage closet, 1 fork in my couch, can of opened pop on my mantle, 2 toothbrushes- one in the bathroom and one on the windowsill by O's bed. Caitlin survived the "goodbyes" without acting out. It only took 2 days to return to nightime routine normalcy.
I cooked everything for the crowd- we had enchilladas on night one, and lasagna at the party. We even had leftovers- and not because the food sucked. I like to think grandpa's catering and culinary skills might have trickled down to me- if even just a tad.
Thanks everyone for coming out to support our family and witness Olivia's special day.
