David took Caitlin to see the Mozart symphony series on Saturday. CSO does family friendly concerts every once and again. This was Caitlin's first and she loved it. Here is what she recalled and relayed to me as soon as she came home- she was so excited.
The concerts are recommended for children ages 3-10. Caitlin saw her friend Stella and 4 out of 5 Paulson boys there- that was exciting too.
Before the show they had an instrument petting zoo. Caitlin got to touch a tiny violin and play it a bit. She also got to hear a horn and a harp. She was excited about playing the violin. She thought the harp was so beautiful.
During the show they had both a play by a local theatre company and the orchestra. Mozart music in general is pretty kid friendly- Twinkle, twinkle, little star is one of his. Caitlin told me that they played that one.
At the end of the show they gave out lollipops. What's not to like about that? Two thumbs up from Caitlin. David was impressed as well.
