Chicken soup- the cheater's way
C'mon, do you really want to make chicken stock, debone the chicken, and wait all day while the soup simmers and your fever and dillusions steadily climb?
Soup in 10 minutes
chop the following:
1 large onion
3 carrots
2 stalks celery
microwave the vegetables about 7 minutes
bring one box of chicken stock and 1 cup water to a boil and dump in the vegetables and one can of chicken (we get ours at Costco)
salt and pepper and garlic powder to taste
optional: add cooked rice right at end (left over rice freezes well for soups)
To cool hot soups for little toungues- I add frozen corn or peas
Or you could open a can of Campbells... if you like more sodium and less veggies and chicken in about the same time
