It's me, you know... Elizabeth?

I have an older sister named Elizabeth. Growing up, several people would slip and call me her name. (I used to be jealous and upset when this happened because she was so smart and popular and I was a wall flower and a little awkward. Now I just really love her.) Teachers in school and church, parents, grandparents- Elizabeth just came out first at times. It was something that I thought would change as we moved out and on and joined different circles, etc.
Well, apparently not.
Last Sunday I was called Elizabeth 3 times by the same person (notwithstanding my prominantly placed scriptures with name embossed...). In fact, I do not recall one time when this person called me Emily. I corrected her on the third time- her response, "Oh, I meant Emily. I knew that." Sure ya did... You knew that for the last 2 years, didn't ya?

...It was almost as good as when I was introduced as a new sister on my last Sunday in Oak Hills...

I'm sorry, Emily :(
Some people are really short on memory, attention deficit, distracted and busy!!~! My older sister Debbie is 5'4" and I'm 6'1" I too, would be called by my sisters' name by relatives, teachers and yes even my parents!
But that is nothing compared to what Richard went through...whatever pet they happened to have 'its'name would often be transposed over Richard's name - the most amusing was RINGO! Oh, the impressions we must leave on others! At least your sister is beautiful, talanted and shines. RINGO was a wired haired, mangy, 'Heinz 57' variety that really stunk when he got wet. There could be worse things...LOL Diane B.
