Well, almost. 6.16*4=24.6 Close enough to 26.2, right?
Saturday my long run was 6.16 miles. Which is pretty incredible because I know it was my first time in my life running that far. And I found a favorite 5 mile route- who would have thought?
I'm signed up for the Flying Pig 1/2 marathon on May 1 and feeling pretty comfortable that I will be prepared if I continue to follow my current training plan. I wasn't even sore after the 6 miles. 7 months to the Detroit Marathon, I'm getting excited and the distance is seeming more doable as I put in the time. The marathon training program is a six month program... still time to start if anyone wants to run Detroit with me.
Thought about joining a gym to get the long distance runs in... NEVER SPEND MONEY AT URBAN ACTIVE FITNESS- WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! And masterful at the bait and switch, I was not impressed or baited.
