David's surprise to me was a much cleaner playroom! While the girls and I were in Michigan, David started cleaning the playroom. If you have never been there, imagine Toys-R-Us exploding then add some deconstructed feather boas (the princess needed confetti, or so I was told). It was to a point where small children could get lost. It was also to the point that cleaning it was a little overwhelming. Last time it was cleaned was before the garage sale and it took about a week, several garbage bags, and a few trips to Good Will.
It was also to a point where the girls had no idea what was up there. And that is where David pulls out his genius card... His idea is regifting forgotten toys to the girls. Audrey likes unwrapping almost more than the gifts, so why not let her unwrap more? Puzzles, Duplos, and some babies are on the gift list.
I'm not so sure he'll be able to pull the wool over Caitlin's eyes though....
