This weekend I was blessed to see them via satellite. I had some trouble hearing all that they said and could probably not match topics to speakers but what I caught made me feel good. I know these words and teachings impact me even if I don't get to devote full attention. Not to toot my own horn but I was nicer today because I had those words in my mind.
I liked President Monson's warm fuzzy story during conference. (Caitlin did too, that is why I was able to listen.) Today I thought how I could serve others. I went to an appointment this morning and luckily did not actually have to stay for said appointment- I just needed to drop off some documents and I was off. Which is great because no one actually likes to wait in a waiting room. I was feeling pretty happy on my little jaunt out of the office but notice someone else was not. I thought for a minute of how I could serve. Caitlin and I went out, purchased a bottle of water, and brought it back to the sad woman waiting.
I felt good. Thank you President Monson. Happy Birthday.
