Last year David was a gainfully (if only just slightly) employed teacher. I stayed at home with the girls and we survived. We survived through rough work days (at home and at school) and bad administrative decisions and follow through (once again- at home and at school). At home the days got better and the actions were corrected. Not so at school. David resigned.
He is now preparing once again to do the thing that we know best- go back to school. David is in the process of applying to the University of Cincinnati for a MBA focusing in on Quantitative Analysis. He is taking the GMAT on Monday (wish him luck), waiting on some letters of rec, figuring out his admissions essays, and studying for a few hours each day. What a difference just a year can make.
To finance this option David started a night shift at DHL, they will insure us and help with tuition along with David's hourly wage. I have had a hard time sleeping without him here and he is a little rough with the new schedule as well. But it will all work out in the end. (It will all work out in the end and if it doesn't work out, it is not the end. right?) The girls love having David around during the day and love that mom takes them out most every morning (to help David sleep in peace).
I have always admired David's work ethic. If he sets his mind to something it will get done. He found an option, planned how to obtain it, and went for it.
Here's to the pursuit of education, changes, and a hard working husband! That's life on Loretta.
