The complete and utter neglect comes to an end

So... Two months, eh?
Here what is happening at the Burgstrom House.
Caitlin is quite the little artist! She loves coloring and drawing. she draws faces (smiling and not), mama, baby and daddy snakes, fish, perfect circles and very straight lines. I like to think of her as an artistic genius. We are still working on colors but she has some color theory running through her blood already- orange and purple (when used side by side on a picture of Princess Aurora) POP! A contrasting color genius!
She loves books as well. I am so happy for this! We still make library story time a Thursday priority. She has her favorite books that she memorizes- they include Schanshy Schanshy (Fancy Nancy), the pigeon and Knuffle Bunny books by Mo Willems, and the Cow that Laid an Egg.
Audrey was born! She graced us with her fashionably late self on November 10th. Her entry into the world was long awaited and the cause of much rejoicing! We sure do love our little "Baybee Ahhh-gee" as Caitlin says. The healing process was long but not as bad as I expected it could be for an emergency c-section.
For Christmas David and I purchased ourselves a new furnace! Oh the joys of home ownership! The girls were quite spoiled by loving aunts and uncles and grandparents, etc. Auntie Elizabeth even bought Caitlin a new car! (the princess coupe by Little Tikes). she loves it. Our unfinished basement makes a perfect racetrack for all the mobile toys we have. David and Caitlin go down nearly nightly for a "wiggle rider" race (these things are awesome and hold about 200 pounds!). Even Mom and Audrey get in on the race action albeit less frequently than Daddy.
We still love each other! Isn't it awesome that I get to love them for all eternity?
Oh yeah- speaking of things eternal, Audrey was blessed in the period of blogging absence.
